Thailand Digital Arrival Card: All you need to know!

If you’re planning or have already booked a scuba diving liveaboard with us at DiveRACE, you may – or may not – have heard about the new digital arrival card (TDAC) process in Thailand.

As of the 1st of May 2025, Thailand has introduced a digital arrival card to streamline the arrival process for travellers. The TDAC replaces the old paper arrival cards, also known as TM.6 forms, that had been paused since 2024. So, instead of filling out a paper arrival card on your flight, you will have to complete the digital arrival card online before you begin your travels. Learn more below!

Who needs to complete the TDAC?

Everyone entering Thailand, with the exception of Thai Citizens, will need to complete the digital arrival card. This includes tourists, visa exempt or visa-on-arrival travellers, business travellers, students and work visa holders of all nationalities.

When should you fill out the TDAC?

The Thailand digital arrival card can only be completed up to 3 days before your arrival in Thailand. It is a simple process, but the time restriction means that you need to remember to complete the TDAC on time to avoid any last-minute stress!

If you do forget to complete the form before arrival, or do not have access to a smartphone or computer, Thailand’s international airports feature new dedicated computer terminals where travellers can complete the TDAC on arrival.

How to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card

Here’s a step-by-step guide to completing your TDAC:

  1. Visit the official websitehttps://tdac.immigration.go.th
  2. Complete the form – fill out the required information: passport details; flight information; accommodation address in Thailand; contact information etc. Ensure that all information is entered correctly to avoid delays at immigration!
  3. Confirmation – once you have completed the TDAC, you should receive a confirmation email. Although it’s not currently advised to print the confirmation, having a printed copy, or at least a screenshot on your mobile phone, will streamline the immigration process.

* Point to Note: if you are staying only on our liveaboard for the trip without staying at a hotel, we recommend you to input our office address (97/314 Soi Wirat Hong Yok 6, Tambon Wichit, Amphoe Mueang Phuket 83000) as your accommodation address.

Be Careful of Fake Websites!

there are fake websites that impersonate official platforms, especially when it comes to immigration and travel documents like Thailand’s digital arrival card or e-visa systems.

Here’s how to stay safe:

  • Domain: Official Thai government websites usually end in “.go.th”.
  • URL for e-Arrival Card (if applicable): The legitimate Thailand e-arrival or TM6 service (if active) would be linked through the Thai Immigration Bureau website: https://www.immigration.go.th
  • No Fees: Entry forms like the TM6 are usually free. If a website asks for payment just to submit an arrival card, it’s a red flag.

Stay updated

Be sure to stay up to date before your travels – things can change with little notice! For the latest information on travel requirements and regulations, check the official Thai government websites. Safe travels – we look forward to welcoming you on board!
