Liveaboard Dive Trips in Thailand

We had a fantastic trip to the Similans with the Dive Race crew. The dive/general operations were seamless, food was terrific (beautifully plated) and the team genuinely felt happy to be there with the guests. As always, diving at Richelieu was also amazing. Thanks for the memories!

We were on the liveaboard from Nov 25th to 29th and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The boat itself is pristine. The room was just right. My boyfriend is 6’4 so it was a concern to us space wise, but it was perfect. The area for diving was perfect as well. Enough space to move around and not be on top of everyone else.The staff was great. From the cook, who made restaurant quality meals everyday, to the crew who helped us getting ready to dive, it was an awsome experience. They were helpfull, friendly and efficient. They made us feel right at home.Diving wise, our dive master Vanesa was the best ! She was easy to follow, not on top of us all the time (I hate feeling like we are kids that need to be taken by the hands) but, she was never too far also. We always felt secur even when we had some really strong currant.Finally, the divesites were beautiful. It is really a must see for any divers.I’d book another trip with them anytime. Thank you so much !

Clean & refurbished boat with a lovely lively crew. Meals were mixed cuisine and always tasty. There’s also a masseur onboard! Last but not least, the diving was fantastic! They always planned it in a way to avoid other diving groups, it felt like we had all the phenomenal sites privately for us!

Amazing Safari Experience in the Similan Islands!I just returned from an incredible safari in the Similan Islands, which took place from October 31st to November 4th, 2024. The experience was nothing short of excellent. The crew was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable, paying attention to even the smallest details like meal decorations and providing support for diving in and out of the water.The group of people on this safari was awesome, as if handpicked to form a perfect integration. The dives were guided in small groups, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.The dives themselves were fantastic, showcasing the stunning underwater scenery that the Similan Islands are known for. The boat was one of the best I've been on, and I've experienced several liveaboards. Everything from the accommodations to the overall service exceeded my expectations.Highly recommend this safari for anyone looking to explore the Similan Islands!

First time LOB. Beyond expectations in respect of transport, room, food and service.The crews are multitask, friendly and helpful in every way possible.

Amazing hospitality, crew and food. Diving becomes secondary onboard DiveRACE with great people and great vibes. Everything was well taken care of, one just have to turn up with our equipment. Kudos to the management and staff of DiveRACE for accommodating our scuba club even down to the minute details of food preferences and allergies. Wonderful!!!!

Our pick up from the hotel was 2 hours late and on our last dive we got lost and completely missed the dive site!!! So the fact that I’m thinking about going on the same dive again with DiveRace gives you an idea how great the experience was. The boat was spacious and well appointed, the food was fantastic (Lionel you really need to put photos of it on the website) and the staff were wonderful and helpful (Thanks Pannee) The most important thing was of course the diving, which was extremely well organized (thanks Eric, Arm, special guest star Nico and unofficial dive master Dongwon) I’ve dove the Scimilan islands before but this was a completely different experience which truly showed me why it’s one of the best dive sites in the world. Hopefully see you on board when I next do the trip!

We had a such a great trip with DIVERACE! This was our first ever live-aboard experience and it was absolutely fantastic. The food on board was excellent. The crew is very professional and helpful. Our dive master was really good! I can be a nervous diver at points but I felt very safe in her capable hands! Unfortunately the conditions in the Similan Islands were not ideal due to thermoclines, but this did not stop Eric and his team from finding alternative dive sites that would give us a worthwhile experience! Because of their knowledge of the different dive sites, we were able to do 18 absolutely wonderful dives. I highly recommend this live-aboard!

This was our first liveaboard and what an experience it was! The DMs and Crew were excellent, the food was incredible and all the dives were fantastic!

Affordable semi-lux liveaboard. Rooms were true to the pictures, comfortable with all amenities working very well. Service and attention to customer’s needs was stellar. Kudos to Eric for managing the ship well and instilling a strong sense of camaraderie amongst the crew which eventually spilled over to the rest of the boat. We looked forward to the food every meal - take a look at the pics as they speak for themselves. Truly an enjoyable experience.

I loved the DiveRace liveaboard experience. Such a clean well organised vessel, and the food and the diving was just amazing. I want to keep it a secret, but I guess I shouldn’t be so shellfish🐚🐠…can’t wait to dive with you guys again!

Amazing diving trip with probably the best food on a diving boat

My first live aboard experience, so not much to compare to, but I had an amazing time. Note: I have about 45 dives in total.Cabins were comfortable and spacious (at least on upper deck). Food was actually amazingly good, and good variety. Dives were well spaced out. The service and hospitality is amazing and they do literally everything for you (prepare gear, give you hot towel when you return and hot chocolate… etc.).Divemaster Jess was extraordinary. Very chill but detailed oriented. Let you do what you wanted on dives without micromanaging. Able to find certain rare reef fish.Did not experience sea sickness on this trip. Took a few gravol the first few days but didn’t need scopo patch or anything that intense.

First liveaboard. Fantastic experience. Stayed in twin main deck cabin with en-suite which is very comfortable. Lots of space for taking things out of bag. Aircon creates a cool environment. Cabin and toilet cleaned daily. Food is out of this world which is served ala carte. Three meals served daily with tea time. Beautifully presented. Cuisine from different parts of the world- Italian, Korean, Japanese, Thai. BBQ, grilled sea food etc. Crew members are so helpful with dive equipment and preparing for each dive. Drinks served before and after each dive with hot towels first and fourth dives. Service always with a smile. Dive masters were knowledgeable and you feel safe being guided by them with each dive. Good briefing. They are open to suggestions with appropriate grouping. They also gave tips to improve my diving skills and allowed me to practice my dsmb skill which I am very grateful. Divemaster YueMa even took his camera down with dive trip to record our dives and then shared on google drive which I am really pleased as I did not have a camera so it is great to have some underwater photos as memories. In terms of dive sites, Richelieu rock is definitely the best but visibility is extreme poor which is a shame. Other good sites are Tachai Pinnacle and BoonSung Wreck which had better visibility to explore different marine life in and around the wreck. Sites in Similan and Surin islands could have been better if visibility was better but this has nothing to do with the dive boat or the divemasters.All in all this has been a 5* live aboard experience and I can’t wait to go onto another one soon!!!

Best dive operation I've ever been out with. Great boat, excellent knowledgeable guide and dive manager who is obviously genuinely passionate about his guest's dive experience - amazing diving, particularly at Richilieu Rock and all while dodging the crowds!!! (Thank you so much Eric!) Also a fantastic dive deck crew, always on hand at the right time, just as planned I am sure! :)Above the surface was no different and such an important support to our dive trip! The house team were terrific with Penny, the manager obviously making sure that the small group I was part of was not lost in amongst the larger groups that occupied most of the boat. Great food, great service, friendly, warm and welcoming. There was never a moment we were left wanting something. We were at home and that'd be hard to achieve I think when everyone is tired from 4 dives a day and running such a tight schedule! (thanks Penny and Perī̂yw and the many others!).All the staff were so cheerful and helpful and everything, the boat clean and spacious and just seemed to run like clockwork.I'm sad that this trip is over... I'll definitely reccomend DiveRace to anyone wanting to dive the Similans!A1++

Really nice and friendly crew who will help you throughout the trip. We saw amazing wild life and the dive masters are very knowledgeable. The food was delicious, and the bed was super comfortable! I highly recommend checking out their website!!!!

Good people, good food, Quality dive gear, good guides who speak English very well. They also helped me improve my bottom time with Breathing techniques. Can highly recommend!

Excellent boat, excellent, knowledgeable dive masters, super kind and helpful boat crew. Diving was excellent. Boat was comfortable, large rooms, easy to get ready to dive and lots of space, lots of lounge space, great food. Would most definitely come on this boat again.

Boat is relatively new, spacious and offers all the necessities that you need for a week on a liveaboard.The crew was fantastic, always helping out with equipment, getting ready to dive and post dive. The kitchen staff did an amazing job preparing a meal for after every dive and considered personal dietary restrictions. Food was served individually. Each meal was different and absolutely delicious. The presentation was so good that everyone took pictures for Instagram ;)I especially appreciated the energy drinks and hot towels after the dive. Really liked to interact with the crew!Dive sites were fantastic. Sometimes the visibility was not the best, of course this is nothing that can be influenced. The guides did an amazing job pointing out local species and checking in on you regularly during the dive.One suggestion for improvement is that the pick-up driver should carry a sign with the liveaboard name on it to make it easier to identify him.

A completely different experience compared to regular recreational diving.The rooms were comfortable and well maintained.The food was amazing with a great mix of cuisine styles.The crew and divemasters were helpful and attentive. The crew offered very informative briefs on the particulars of the dive site, ensured equipments both theirs and individual divers were well maintained and ready for every dive.The divemasters were always looking out for their group and offering advice to improve my dives. They would also accomodate their dive plans to ensure the group is comfortable during diving.The prices might be pricier, but the money was well spent with the excellent food, overall live-aboard experience and the memories made.

Hands down best food I’ve had while on a dive vessel. Victor, Jess, Uma, Eric and crew are great! Some incredible diving. Highly recommend!

I had the best liveaboard experience on this boat. The food was great, Western-style, and it was always personally served for everyone (not buffet style). All the divemasters were very helpful and professional. Special thanks to Jesse, my divemaster who helped me through my Nitrox course. We spotted two turtles, one octopus, and a whale shark during the trip. All the cabins were perfectly cleaned after the first dive of the day, and private showers were amazing. I strongly recommend this boat to everyone.

We had such a good time. The diving was incredible but the staff made the experience so special - from the guys who managed the gear, the women who cooked our food, and the knowable guides. Friendly, helpful and professional. The boat is comfortable, views glorious, but the food…. It was like being in a great restaurant every meal! So good!

Staffs are very helpful & friendly. Very impressive service and foods are way better than expectation. Just one thing can be improve is that the toilet in bedroom (lower deck) has quite a few insects surround..

We had a great trip to the Similian Islands with DiveRACE. The cabin rooms were spacious, the food was excellent with diversity and also accommodating vegan/vegetarian options, the staff were super friendly and the diving was spectacular. The dive groups were small and the guides very experienced and safe. Our guide kept our group together despite some very strong currents (washing machine). Everything was organized and professional.

My first liveaboard experience and DiveRace sure set the bar high. Apart from being well taken care of by the crew, every meal served was a gourmet experience for the eye and stomach. Cannot wait for my next time on board already.

It was the best ever. Foods were excellent. Rooms were wide enough. All staff were very caring. We were lucky to saw manta ray 🙂 hope to see you again guys. Thank you all
