INTRODUCTION
We are excited to present our latest liveaboard project – MV DiveRACE Class X!
We, at DiveRACE, have a vision to provide the best scuba diving liveaboard experience for all our esteemed guests. No matter whether it is for guests who are trying out their first ever liveaboard trip or well travelled divers who had been on many other liveaboards.
MV DiveRACE Class X is born from the desire of wanting to be the pinnacle of scuba diving in Thailand. With our valuable experience of operating our previous and current liveaboard vessels and the constant gathering of valuable feedback from our guests, we are ready to embark on bringing our latest idea to fruition.

NAVAL ARCHITECTURE
A good vessel design affects passenger safety, vessel stability, fuel consumption, maintenance and many other factors. It is with utmost importance that we placed significant time and effort into a good and well though out vessel design.
We have engaged one of Thailand’s leading naval architecture firm to design and advise on the construction of the vessel – TAGU Offshore (Thailand) Ltd. They specialise in design for ship building and off shore structures. Furthermore, they were tasked by the Thai government to audit and inspect the infamous “MV Phoenix” case that happened in 2018.
DiveRACE and TAGU have been working closely together since Feb 2023 to determine the vessel specifications. Detailed vessel designs and construction plans are still being discussed up to today. Please note that these design are not finalised and still subjected to changes.

INTERIOR DESIGN
We knew that having a good interior design would make a world of a difference to guests who come on board.
This led us to engage an award winning interior design firm that is based in Phuket – Studio Locomotive. Their task were to come out with good visual aesthetics for the overall and inside of the vessel. We emphasized to them on it being elegant yet easy to upkeep.
The ideas they presented to us were visually appealing and yet practical. Here is what they came up with.

There are more design renders available but we chose to showcase the important ones without giving away too much information.
WHAT IS NEXT?
We are into Phase 4 for the construction of MV DiveRACE Class X. Construction and fitting of the vessel is being done and all hands on deck.
We are starting to collate all the equipment and gathering all the crew to begin their training!
More updates to the project will be posted here whenever possible!
